Describe the Department

Global QSE directs the global approach to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment in Vestas throughout the value chain. The function supports both very strategic & operational QSE tasks, leads towards achieving the QSE goals and targets, as well as directs the Global Management System and its certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

QSE Global Development and Excellence is a global function under Global QSE with focus on directing group wide Management systems, HSE Analysis, QSE Performance Management, QSE Methods, Tools & Awareness, Advanced Quality, QSE Service Centre, Six sigma & Continuous Improvement.

People are located in India & propel global activities collaborating with the regional QSE resources and all other functions across globe.

This role is a part QSE Global Development & Excellence and we are looking for HSE Lead Engineer, who will work with new product development projects across the regions & manufacturing units to drive Quality, Safety & Environmental improvements and deliverables

Responsibilities

Be accountable for the assigned HSE deliverables or Improvement activities, its maturity and readiness in the project (sub projects or systems or Modules)

Work closely with Advanced HSE Lead and the Project stakeholders to Ensure quality of the deliverables, on time gate pass leading to safe launch

Identify potential HSE problems and non-compliance issues and ensure appropriate risk handling activities are planned and performed to eliminate, mitigate, or control these risks

Facilitation, Coaching and Training in using HSE Tools (Taproot, Vestas Behavior Change, HSE Process, Chemical Management)

Enables Project Team to perform Risk Assessment, Mitigation, Performance Monitoring & Continuous improvement and ensure the quality of Vestas Way to Market Gate deliverables

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Composites with 12-14 Years' experience in HSE area

Certification / education in Health, Safety & Environment Tools

APQP Certification or Training, ISO 14001 / 18001

Knowledge of HSE IT systems and tools (Taproot, Incident Management tools etc) will be added advantage

Exposure to Six Sigma (DMAIC or DFSS) Black belt or Certification / education in Health,

Preferred certified machine safety expert.

Design for Safety

Significant in coaching, facilitation of various workshops

Solid Knowledge and Working experience in guiding HSE in new product development

Attention to details, ability to go deep & be pragmatic to direct the projects team

High-quality in Problem solving and inquisitive skills

High-quality collaboration , Conflict Management and communication skills

Ability to supervise multi-cultural Stakeholders with Customer-focus, proactive and result-oriented
