Job Overview

This role will be responsible for identifying training needs, creating and delivering written, e-learning, in-person and online content to support all levels of the Planful platform.

This will support our core business and training necessary for future strategies which will meet the Company’s overall mission.

The Content Developer & Instructor’s responsibilities include communicating with managers to identify training needs. This role will be responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting all training programs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Excellent time management skills, problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge about traditional and modern training methods and techniques
  • Ability to work with a team and the ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail has the ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks
  • Knowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design, e-learning platforms
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data
  • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training
  • Gather feedback from customers and subject matter experts and apply training methodology
  • Partner with internal stakeholders regarding instructional design
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training materials
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Content Developer & Instructor should have at least 5+ years of corporate work experience.Previous work experience as a Content Developer, Training Facilitator, Trainer, or a similar role in a corporate environment is beneficial.

    They should have a proven track record of conducting successful training programs. Proven work experience as a Content Developer & Instructor.

  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory curriculum design and development models, principles, and practices
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and methodology,
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate)
  • Must have experience with designing, developing, implementing, and delivering e-learning, blended learning solutions, as well as writing curriculum for web-based training
  • Knowledge of teaching the adult learner, adult learning principles in face-to-face and distance synchronous and asynchronous learning environments, including webinars, instructor-led distance learning, and online courses
  • Experience with generating supplemental training materials including video, PowerPoint presentations, and written documentation
  • Ability to deliver educational and results-oriented training courses using effective presentation and adult learning skills
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Experience with e-learning development tools and processes
  • Ability to research and develop subject matter expertise quickly over a wide range of topics
  • Computer proficiency required Microsoft Office required, specifically Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, GSuite, Camtasia, Storyline, Adobe Captivate
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and programs simultaneously
  • Experience working with SAAS platforms
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, managers, and customers
  • Ability to use computer software to create interactive and responsive online content, design manuals, develop participant guides, databases, presentations, and other correspondences.
  • Ability to respond readily to changes in the industry, environment, or organization and take constructive steps to address them
  • Finance experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Training, or related field
  • Must work U.S. hours
