The Reference Data Operator focuses on effective oversight of strategic data used across the Bank’s systems and infrastructure.
Reference data, either sourced externally or generated internally, covers a wide range of critical enterprise-wide information such as pricing, securities, books, financial products, clients, legal entities, accounts and mandates.
The Reference Data Operator supports various elements of the data lifecycle, from ensuring that data is captured from the best source, to validating and classifying, and operating controls that optimise its quality and maximise coverage.
The Reference Data Operator has responsibility for maintaining robust processes related to data set-up, storage and distribution, as well as system configuration, together with participation in projects designed to streamline infrastructure and improve efficiency.
Reference data is integral to the Bank’s response to regulatory requirements. Close partnership is needed with stakeholders such as Front Office, Middle Office, Audit, Compliance and Regulatory Reporting to deliver solutions that balance immediate business priorities with long term strategic objectives.
This role requires development and implementation of robotics process automation (RPA) along with the business in accordance with the organization’s Centre of Excellence guidelines.
The role involves coordinating with business users and stakeholders across multiple geographic locations to understand the requirements & create solutions on Blue prism along with maintaining the existing one.
Position requires an Out of the box thinker who can design, build and deliver innovative solutions that truly transform the business by leveraging Robotics solutions to build a digital workforce in the bank.
Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Blue Prism Developer experience is a must
Conceptual understanding of Blue Prism and / or other RPA solutions
Ability to design, develop, test and deploy robots (preferably hands-on experience in implementation of at least 2-3 RPA projects in the past)
Ability to translate business requirements to system definition documentation
Ability to perform code remediation and defect fixing pre- and post production migration
RPA development, logical and physical interface designing for RPA tools to interface with existing Enterprise systems.
Accreditation on Blue Prism is a plus
Responsibilities / Tasks
Designing Blue Prism process solutions in accordance with standard Blue Prism design principles and conventions in addition to conforming with the organization’s Center of Excellence guidelines.
Configuring new Blue Prism processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
Develop RPA solutions which are reusuable and scalable in multi robot / runner situations
Act as the Blue Prism automation and platform SPOC for the Operations team and resolve any platform related issues.
Creating and maintaining solution definition documentation.
Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
Mentoring colleagues through the Blue Prism training and accreditation program providing advice and guidance on best practice and development techniques.
Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of Blue Prism processes ,providing timely responses and solutions as required.
Communicating with Center of Excellence and operations users regarding software related issues and providing suggested improvements.
Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery / project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phase
Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases.
Provide guidance for documenting troubleshooting steps and service restoration details.
Evolve and implement continuous improvement methodologies working in tandem with the BOT controller teams for improving overall delivery.
Experience / Exposure
Developers with 3-5 years of experience of VBA / Automation Tools / Blue Prism or other Robotic tools.
Excellent understanding of the SDLC Lifecycle.
Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with teams / stakeholders across geographic locations.
Exemplary attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize work as needed to achieve business objectives.
Knowledge of products or processes related to financial services would be an advantage.
Proficient using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, Vision and SharePoint)
Education / Qualification
Bachelors / Undergraduate Degree.
Any certifications in Blue Prism will be an added advantage.
