  • We have a great opportunity for an experienced Corporate Business Development Consultant to join our Global Organisation in Insurance Broking and Risk Management.

    Your role will be to initiate and cultivate relationships with key client prospects in order to sell the companies services and products to new and existing clients.

    In addition to developing a full understanding of our service offering you will have the skills to identify prospect requirements and demonstrate effectively the advantages of our solutions in order to meet the client’s needs.

    Your prime responsibilities include :

  • Engaging with Australian corporates by conducting frequent sales presentations, calls and meetings to develop relationships with key influencers and decision makers to enable you to win business
  • Developing and executing a business development strategy and sales plan resulting in new corporate business
  • Identifying and validating new prospects in the market and managing a prospect pipeline by maintaining regular communications and moving opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders and specialist practices within Marsh and developing potential business opportunities
  • Identify commercial opportunities aligned to the company’s growth strategies using a structured sales management methodology
  • Represent Marsh at relevant networking events and industry events targeting appropriate prospects
  • Responding and presenting in an effective professional manner to sales proposals
  • As an individual you will be driven and thrive in a competitive market. You will be flexible and adaptive in your approach and thrive in a professional corporate environment and have :

  • Strong sales aptitude presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • 5+ years commercial Business Development experience ideally within the Insurance Broking, Insurance or Financial Services industry
  • An established network with senior management at Australia’s top corporate organisations and the business development skills to gain new business results for Marsh
  • Consultative sales approach with excellent relationship building skills at a senior level
  • Strong pipeline management experience with targeting, planning and forecasting
