Dell Consulting Practice is focusedon architecture, implementing and integrating technology into our customers environments

IT Transformation Services - Create a cost-optimized, business-focused IT service development and delivery organization with a new operating model, an automated, resilient infrastructure platform, and a rationalized app portfolio.

Digital Transformation Services - Use cloud-native apps, modern software development techniques, and analytics to build new products and services that increase revenue, enhance customer value, or create new monetization opportunities.

Workforce Transformation Services - Increase workforce productivity and satisfaction with personalized experiences, anytime / anywhere access to apps and data, and simplified, self-

service consumption of IT services.

Key Responsibilities / Duties :

  • Perform infrastructure discovery and application dependency analysis
  • Determine business requirements, identify migration strategies, negotiate schedules and provide on-going coordination
  • Basic involvement in the design, planning and execution of migration plan to migrate / decommission infrastructure without disruption to business groups
  • Support consultant / senior consultant in conducting architecture reviews, capacity planning, work scheduling, implementation planning and execution, post implementation planning and execution
  • Participate meetings with SMEs from all areas of the business including : Architects and Leads to seek input from and review migration methodology, resource requirements, timeline and constraints
  • Track and report on all infrastructure scheduled for migration
  • Coordinate closely with Engineers, Network and Storage teams to ensure successful execution of migrations on time with zero defects.
  • Work Experience :

  • Basic experience in server consolidation and infrastructure consolidations / moves
  • Previous experience in Data Center relocation / consolidation / divestiture required
  • At least 1 years directly related work experience in the Information Technology field is required
  • At least 1 years of experience with datacenter rationalization, consolidation, relocation or migration is preferred.
  • Skills Required :

  • Proficient in Microsoft office MS Excel, MS Visio and MS Access
  • Demonstrated holistic understanding of Datacenter Operations (i.e. Production operations, Server, Storage, Network, Data Base Mgt.
  • Systems Mgt., Helpdesk, DR / Business recovery practices, etc.)

  • Familiarity with functional operations of server, storage and network functions
  • Knowledge of server platform technologies
  • Ability to manage a project plan, track milestones and identify dependencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact efficiently with a large Project Management Office and Technical Team
  • Strong client facing and relationship building skills are required.
