What will you be doing?

  • Ensuring efficient and effective management of Demand Management process that meets stakeholder expectations in terms of time, quality and scope
  • Process owner for the end to end demand management process for BCS Solution Delivery
  • Conduct analysis on incoming business requests : In depth review and research if neededFacilitate regular reviewsEnsure key attributes are setUpdating prioritiesEnsure continual communications and updates on the engagement requests
  • Acts in a governance role ensuring engineering processes are adhered to
  • Engagement lead for external teams into BCS Solution Delivery
  • Owns demand and resource planning and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders and facilitating regular reviews of demand and resource across BCS Solution Delivery
  • Ownership and / or influence on policies and strategy
  • What we’re looking for :

  • In depth experience in the professional project environment or matrix management structure
  • Influencing / networking developing internal and external business relationships and using own knowledge, skills and experience to influence others opinions and actions
  • Strong presentation skills, recognising the requirement for regular engagement with senior management in areas such as programme / project cost / benefit projections and key project risk / mitigation measures.
  • Comprehensive experience in professional communications across written correspondence, face to face and using standard communication tools
  • Expertise in Excel to be able to produce effective MI reporting and translating into PowerPoint presentations
  • Extensive experience in analysis and creativity to be able to use own initiative to conceive original and practical solutions for internal and external stakeholders through the production of effective presentations to complex and business critical problems
  • To have a good understanding at a high level the interface between complex business needs and the complex legal and regulatory environment in which the business operates
  • Proven ability to juggle priorities, work under pressure, multi-task and flawlessly execute at speed in a dynamic, innovative environment
  • Sound commercial judgement and ideally an overall understanding of the Financial Services industry,
  • Delegates, coordinates, and motivates team members into reaching goals and on time delivery
  • Adapts style to contribute and enhance overall team performance
  • Deals comfortably with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Demonstrates initiative and competence
  • Team player that is willing to step into area’s outside of their comfort zone to make sure plans stay on track Ability to work with in a rapidly changing environment - where goals and objectives often change at short notice.
  • Having the confidence to determine your own objectives that fit within the wider team goals, rather than rely on being instructed all the time.

    Having a positive, can do, persistent attitude, even when the cards are stacked against you.Self-starter, able to drive the creation of ambitious but pragmatic plans to deliver technically complex componentsExperienced in building project plans and managing risks, issues, dependencies and pulling teams together to work through these items while managing stakeholder expectationsStrong documentation and governance skills able to work with teams to ensure the right deliverables are created, communicated and managed as part of a project lifecycle.

    Skills that will help you in the role :

  • Extensive experience in analysis and creativity to be able to use own initiative to conceive original and practical solutions for internal and external stakeholders through the production of effective presentations to complex and business critical problems
  • Experienced, qualified project manager (Prince II / PMP / or Qualified in agile methodologies)
  • Proven ability to deliver in a large, multi-national organisation, ideally with banking experience
  • Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Office Products and Visio
  • Desirable skills / Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience of Agile Central / Lean Control process, JIRA, Confluence would be advantageous
  • Ideally someone who has worked on process improvement programmes of work
  • Previous experience leading a team would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Solid understanding of organisational infrastructure and architecture environments including : Cloud based technologies (O365, Exchange Online, Skype for Business, Teams, Sharepoint Online)Server based technologies (Citrix, VDI)Desktop technologies (Win10, macOS)Mobile technologies
