What you'll be doing
Responsible complex and large scale technology development and solutions that provide business value and meet customer requirements, encouraginguse of innovative approaches and tools to solve high impact, complex problems.
Applies technical expertise to provide direction and make commercial decisions focused on wider converged technology lifecycle, setting roadmaps and defining and driving towards a desired future state & ensuring BT can reliably trade.
Drives understanding of customer and user centric technical process design, driving and implementing improvements to enhance the customer and user experience.
Making authoritative recommendations that balance delivery, strategic direction and operational performance.
Responsible for working understanding demand and ensuring proactive capacity planning to ensure delivery teams are adequately resourced to cope with fluctuating business demand
Manage escalations for major releases / product area, agreeing any changes with stakeholders
Manage product backlog
Ensure all release / product areas meet budget targets and deliver agreed business capability.
Supports all change for Openreach volume products. Support 15K orders, 30K faults and diagnostics / pre-sales journeys / 8m engineer jobs per year.
Poor delivery outcome can be revenue and share-price impacting. 225K interactions on our systems every day, and support the workstack for 18K engineers who access through mobility solutions.
Deliver the programmes to drive fibre rollout to consumers and business in 2018-2020.
Reports to the Senior Manager Techicnal Service Delivery., works closely with other members of the Technical Deliveryteam and Platform Delivery Leads.

Collaborates with key stakeholders such as ASG , Designers , DBAs , Networks , VAS DCT and other LOBs such as Operate and Openreach.

Stakeholder Management : Able to establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships and facilitates mutually beneficial negotiations to develop solutions, ensuring they meet current and emerging business and technical needs.
Transformation : Able to manage long term changes and adapting the unit in line with the business. Be able to transform delivery to improve and reduce cost and b confident in managing changes to major products or releases.
Problem Solving : Must be able to proactively solve business problems that deal with uncertainty e.g. demand profile planning including location, skill and resource.
Also some problems will be multi-platform wide, impacting multiple services or cross-portfolio solutions.
Be Agile : Leads collaborative and agile ways of working through projects and programmes effectively managing changing priorities.
Technical Delivery : experience of performing release and delivery management for a CFU for at least 2 years with ability and evidence of driving transformational change to improve quality, delivery throughout and customer outcomes.
Using Agile and waterfall techniques.
Stakeholder management experience of managing Directors and key stakeholders, presenting to them at formal and informal sessions, providing updates on risk, mitigation activities, knowing when to seek advice and escalate appropriately.
Bold Decision Maker Problem solves to achieve business unit plans, providing expertise and insight to support bold decisions.
Collaborative Partner Maintains internal and external relationships, collaborating both operationally and technically to delivery business results.
Change Agent Identify, create and lead smooth business changes. Adapting quickly and perform effectively even when there’s ambiguity.
Should be BE / BTech / ME / Mtech in the same field.
