A Luxurious Haven - Nestled in the heart of the capital, Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi, is a fine and eminent five-star hotel in a Prime location close to business, shopping and entertainment districts in the city.

Hotel has sprawling lawns and timeless architecture, inspired by the work of Edwin Lutyen, one of the greatest British architects of the twentieth century with 320 recently refurbished rooms and suites with 5 award-winning restaurants and bars namely Mister Chai, Shang Palace, Sorrento, Tamra and Grappa.

What will I be doing?

You will Lead the Learning vertical and also provide support in overall HRD operations. You will also be required to manage succession planning and assist the Director of HRD with strategy to manage and support the onsite HR and L&D team.

Core Competencies

  • Learning Needs Analysis, Learning Sessions Planning, Implementation and Monitoring, Hotel Orientation / Induction, Trainer Skills, Trainer Evaluation, Department Training, Performance Appraisal
  • Compliance of the Learning Need Analysis as per SLIM guidelines.
  • Conducts monthly orientation for new hire.
  • Introduces Shangri-La Group, Vision, Purpose, Business Philosophy, Values, and Shangri-La Care and other core service skills and knowledge trainings.
  • Ensures the cascading of SLA Trainer Skill I and II especially for identified Departmental Trainers.
  • Implements course evaluation for program such as Orientation, Shangri-La Care, IM, Trainer Skills I & II, Language Training & STAR Training.
  • Regularly monitors departmental training activity progress.
  • Assists in coordinating the scheduled Performance Development Review by conducting training to all staff, except for Service Executive levels.
  • Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • To support the business in attracting, recruiting, retaining, and developing people to meet the business requirements.
  • Manage employee relations issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including disciplinaries, grievances, and capability.
  • Good working knowledge of Indian employment / compliance laws and HR best practice.
  • Control costs when possible and assist in meeting hotel / departmental financial targets.
  • Assists in fostering beneficial communication and network with relevant external agencies and organizations.
  • Formulation and implementation of generic trainings, especially the Shangri-La Care core modules.
  • Who are we looking for?

  • At least 3 years plus in a similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of modern learning and development tools and technique
  • Behavioral Science / Psychology graduate
  • Self-starter, Team-builder, Goals-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal relationships
  • Exceptional presentation and grooming
  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally
  • Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
