Job Title : Quality Engineer
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Responsible for leading the SQA effort on major products / releases
Responsible for creating test schedules, detailing test cases, test plans, and consolidating, and reporting test results
Responsible for using latest Microsoft technologies to design and maintain automation for existing and new products
Set up test environments for automation activities
Track test coverage and key metrics
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA processes and ensure repeatability
Be a technology champion / mentor and work with others to effectively use new technology to build effective automation
Interact with other departments to gather / understand business requirements.
Ensures strong commitment to on-time, quality delivery of all projects and deliverables
Must be assertive and willing to escalate issues when a project / task is negatively impacted
QUALIFICATIONS
BS or MS in Computer Science or other engineering degree or equivalent experience
5+ years experience working in SQA Test Engineer role on software development projects
5+ years experience in programming with C / C++ / C# or Java
Experience with RDBMS and SQL , SQL Server Preferred
3+ yrs of test automation experience using at least 1 commercial or open source test tool
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Test Manager
Experience working with distributed teams is a plus
Experience with iterative development and agile methodologies
Experience working with distributed teams
Experience working in a gMP compliant environment
