The Business Development team in Global Partnerships works with a wide range of external partners to help build Google products through product-enabling relationships (e.

g., data licensing, content partnerships, API / platform integrations, and technology licensing). Our team is charged with helping our partners grow though a variety of ways, such as seeding content for Google surfaces, developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms, and developing go-to-market strategies for new launches.

We work cross-functionally with marketing, product and engineering, finance, retail marketing teams, and with our partners’ counterparts across these disciplines.

Our team provides meaningful solutions from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value.

We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more.

We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience developing and growing partnerships within a mobile or a related industry
  • Experience driving promotional and / or engagement strategies for apps, including digital advertising
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • MBA degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of one of the following verticals : retail, finance, travel and food delivery, including an understanding of the role such apps play in the business models of the aforementioned verticals (i.
  • e., customer acquisition, lifetime value, and loyalty) and tactics a developer might undertake to grow their install base and monthly active users

  • Ability to think strategically, navigate ambiguity, problem-solve with limited guidance, and work cross-functionally prioritizing partner success and business impact
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executives at Google and partner companies
  • Lead strategic App developer partnerships in retail, finance, travel, and food delivery. Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships by understanding both partner and organization goals and identifying opportunities.
  • Realize value as the relationship manager for existing agreements while driving new agreements, renewals / expansions, driving exploratory talks, and building consensus with internal and external executives.
  • Identify industry-specific best practices and work with Google Play’s technical and growth consultants to improve app quality for high traffic user experiences across devices so as to increase installs and user engagement metrics.
  • Source relevant and timely content for Google Play across devices. Drive investment in Google Play and Android products to support growth of those ecosystems.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders on partnership plans.
