They have a global footprint in more than 95 countries worldwide. Currently, they are looking for a SHE Head to be based out of their Mumbai office.

Job Description Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for Developing and implementing organizational programs and policies linked to SHE for business operations Reviewing and updating organization wide SHE policies aligning to the parent company's SHE policy and conducting risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.

Developing organization wide SHE work culture for all functions, operations and people - using a multilevel approach involving various techniques and training.

Evaluating the workplace environment and developing safety-management policies that identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees.

This would involve assessing the nature of business activities, number of employees and existing policies. Identifying & understanding key statutory regulations (Factory Act, Environment Protection Act, etc.

Liaising with local and state level statutory agencies like factory inspectors, Pollution control Board, coordination with local SHE personnel and Plant Managers.

Defining & updating guidelines for the SHE function with both short term and long-term objectives. The Successful Applicant Ideally, you are a Chemical / Mechanical engineer with 10 years of experience in a Safety, Health & Environment role in the Chemical industry.

You should have experience of working in a batch manufacturing chemical facility. You should also have experience in handling SHE for logistics and transportation.

You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have an excellent track record in your earlier professional stint and should be ready for the next challenging assignment.
