We are looking for a Billing Rules Associate Operations Manager - QA Testing to join our Claim readiness team within our Technology Enabled Services division.

Your job will be to manage the day-to-day activities of the Billing Rules team including performance management, coaching, driving results, developing standards, fostering teamwork, and providing constructive feedback.

  • You will be focusing on timeliness and quality and will guide employees to provide service levels that meet or exceed our internal Service Level Agreements and also be responsible for identifying and implementing areas to improve quality and / or timeliness in the Billing rules testing process and ensuring proper documentation.

    The Team : To deliver industry-leading billing rules that take action on claims exclusively, and are primarily intended to ensure the content and formatting of claims are in line with payer and industry requirements before submission

    Job Responsibilities

    Ability to gather, manage and synthesize large amounts of information efficiently, effectively, and creatively with maniacal attention to detail.

    Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and experience using multiple mediums to resolve daily tasks

    Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships through clear and concise communication and reporting

    Build effective relationships across geographies and divisions for a collective success

    Constantly think deep and discuss with leaders on the athena's product and services to feed strategic input and tactical solutions to the Quarterly or Annual planning cycle

    Conducts periodic performance and team reviews enable the team members with the right career path guidance, in turn, align the divisional objectives

    Lead and enable innovative and creative thought process amongst the team to keep up the pace of growth and evolve continually

    Support hiring the right talent, grooming, and retaining critical talents is key for the success of the organization

    Research and understand workflow issues and make recommendations for improvements within and across operational areas

    Identify, document, and communicate existing and potential problems, root cause, and trends in the quality of department procedures plus related functionality efficiencies and effectiveness

    Collaborate with others to manage necessary projects and build a positive team culture

    Become an active participant in the athenahealth Teach & Learn culture

    Typical Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

    8-10 years of experience in a fast-paced environment

    Previous experience in healthcare RCM environment, mandatory

    Mastery of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Proven ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written communication

    Proven ability to organize time, information, and to elevate and initiate change

    Ability to assess large amounts of information, identify trends, and break information into key components

    Comfortable working in a professional, diverse corporate setting, maintaining poise and a sense of humor in stressful situations

    Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and escalations with balanced decision-making.

    Project management skills

    Process improvement skills

    Experience working across geographies is a plus

    Quality Assurance testing experience a plus
