Application Support

Location : Bangalore Exp : 4 to 6 yrs Education Required : Bachelors / Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or EquivalentThis position is for a mid-

level SUPPORT professional and requires strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills. Last 4 years must have been on production support of mission critical banking / financial systems. Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for production application support working closely with SVB internal teams and external partners, as necessary
  • Log Analysis ( Ex : Code Log, Access Log, Server Log)
  • 24x7 production queue management and support
  • Monitor alerts TeaLeaf, App Dynamics, Splunk
  • Runtime incident calls
  • Reports, SQL queries execution for business and engineering teams,
  • External partner co-ordination, end-to-end
  • Requires experience in supporting enterprise-class, mission-critical production systems.
  • Production Deployment and smoke test
  • Production Run-book and RCA updates
  • Ready to work in Night shift ( Rotational basis) Job description :
  • Experience of having done application support for banking applications especially on-boarding process, payments, Online Banking reconciliation any one international banking domain product Excellent.
  • Excellent PL / SQL skills ability to write complex queries, utility functions in Oracle PL / SQL
  • Knowledge of any java scripting language ( .js)
  • Good debugging and troubleshooting skills ability to scan through log files, zero in on technical exceptions, chain exception from multiple application log files to understand root cause
  • Working experience of any monitoring tools like tea leaf, dynatrace, app dynamics, Splunk, etc
  • Knowledge and experience of working with any one ticketing tool (JIRA, SNOW, Remedy)
  • Good Analytical and problem solving skills with Strong interpersonal, facilitation skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to co-ordinate / initiate calls especially on P1 Issues
  • Excellent documentation skills Desirable :
  • Knowledge of Java and Front end development languages ( Java Script Node, Angular, Polymer)
  • Coding experience is added advantage (No coding)
  • Knowledge of banking format files (MT 940, MT 101, NACHA etc)
  • Knowledge of Networks, Messaging Applications, Enterprise Schedulers, Batch Schedulers etc is an added advantage
  • Experience working with a variety of Applications Servers and Databases (Primarily Tomcat and Oracle). Key skills
  • Product support experience is must&should sql(experience in writing queries)
  • Batch processing

  • Testing skills : Smoke testing
  • Ticketing tools : service now(preferable)
