Should be able to Manage daily operations through first level Managers at the same time stay well connected with ground level operations

Actively involve with functional QA managers, TPMS while preparing QA plans, release plans and escalate issues to the right stake holders if any in terms of regression and DA team deliverables

Should be able to model capacity planning and ensuring that idle time and commitment misses are minimized.

Complete ownership of project, devices requirement and resource requirement and any external dependencies like hardware, network etc.

Commitment and planning towards meeting aggressive deadlines

Be proactive in identifying, reporting troubleshooting and escalation of issues

Should be able to suggest and drive process improvements, metrics to improve the overall team performance to completion

Use software tools for data capture / execution / reporting on a daily basis

Be comfortable with capturing team test results and providing project status reports

Drive / suggest development of systems and tools for streamlining day to day operational tasks

Keep check on Daily Productivity of team members and make sure that they and project is always on track else raise it to the next level for corrective course of action.

Responsible for mentoring the team

Take an active role in training and development of entire team.

Be leader of a highly charged work environment

Will be responsible for day to day people management including hiring, training, retention, motivation and overall improvement

Manage performance and expectations of the workforce through a consistent implementation of performance measurement and feedback systems

Implement strategies for managing attrition, improving performance and maintaining morale of the workforce

Manage career path and performance of reports and provide growth paths for promising employees

Manage and improve performance of lower performers and be responsible for overall improvement of the team s performance

Set ground rules in the initial stages of new projects and make them part of the standard process

Work with functional QA and QS org to understand the gaps and coordinate with process experts to fill the gaps

Basic Qualifications

External hires should have minimum of 9-11 years of relevant experience

Should have atleast couple of years of experience in managing first level managers

Very strong stakeholder management and communication management.

Experience managing testing projects and able to devise strategies, provide coverage recommendations Preferred Qualifications

People, process and stakeholder management with business perspective are a must.

Strong analytical skills and ability to work in an unstructured and evolving environment

Good people manager who can manage and motivate direct reports and get the best out of them.,
