Job Description

  • Responsible for day-to-day administration, maintenance, and operations of the OS X infrastructure
  • Maintains desktop / laptop infrastructure, including resolving hardware issues and installing patches and updates
  • Maintains Mac deployment infrastructure worldwide
  • Troubleshoots desktop / laptop and network issues
  • Participates in the Mac Desktop and Development Labs Team meetings
  • Automate using scripting and enhancing / re-engineering processes to gain efficiencies
  • Maintains Self Service repository for OS X software titles
  • Provides escalation support to Help Desk Mac staff as well as support for OS X configuration issues
  • Resolve problems, providing long-term problem resolution
  • Transfers knowledge and skills to other members of the IT team including Front Line
  • Creates / Enhances Knowledge Base / Enhances and shares documentation of systems and processes
  • Provides best practice of system administration to improve support model
  • Package and deploy software to desktop through Casper and other tools
  • Package QA testing
  • Desktop hardening through security best practices and penetration testing
  • Assist in the triage of help desk tickets that require engineering input
