J.P. Morgan’s Global Quants Group in Mumbaiwas set up in 2013 as an extension of the Firm’s global quants teams around theworld.
It is a fast growing team covering multiple asset classes acrossgeographies. It provides in-depth knowledge that is behind our InvestmentBanking, Structuring, Sales & Trading and Research businesses around theglobe.
Deeply integrated with our Investment Banking business, the teamfacilitates deals and transactions by providing vital research and insight.
This position is a Quant profileto support the activities of the Quantitative Research Group (cross assetclasses) & Analytics globally sitting out in Mumbai.
The QR team in Mumbai playsa critical role in providing effective, timely and independent assessments ofthe Firm’s booking models of exotic structures and also help in developing newmodels for structures as and when necessary.
The primary responsibilities for thisrole will include :
Programming : Must have demonstratedprogramming experience with C++. Experience in working / creating customizedC++ libraries will be a plus.
Software Engineering : Duties including the full-rangeof programming tasks problem analysis, solution determination, code designand development, integration, test, modification and documentation
Overall,the candidate will need to work closely with teams in Asia-Pacific and / orLondon and / or New York and will need to be proactive to improve deskefficiencies, access and learn J.
P. Morgan’s highly sophisticated solutions.
B.E. / B.Tech. / M.S. / M.Tech in ComputerScience / Information Technology
Essential Skills :
High level of proficiency in C++ programming; 4-5 years ofhands-on experience on recent projects
Having Python hands-on experience will be plus
Experience in similar roles in Quant Research and ModelDevelopment will be an advantage
Good communication and team skills in a multi-location setup
Close attention to detail and ability to work to very highstandards
Idealcandidates for these positions would be a graduate / post-graduate from a premiercollege or institute. A computer science or mathematics background will be mostsuitable.
