Responsible for developing a pipeline of well-defined new business sales opportunities relating to the Hitachi Vantara suite of storage solutions, the ideal candidate should demonstrate a depth of understanding of both Cloud and Managed Service Providers and datacentre infrastructure solutions.

Proactively developing sales opportunities to grow the Hitachi Vantara footprint in the mid-market Cloud Service Provider segment
Understanding customer business and technology environments, identifying pain points and gauging the extent to which Hitachi Vantara offerings represent real solutions to their business challenges
Probing, listening and qualifying to assess total technology spend and potential commercial opportunity alongside understanding the competitive landscape within the account and working to resolve concerns or obstacles
Identifying key decision makers and influencers at all levels of the business and working to develop trusted relationships with a long-term view in mind
Taking ownership for the sales cycle from identification, qualification, sale, installation and subsequent protection and growth, partnering internally across Hitachi Vantara to develop holistic solutions and optimise customer satisfaction levels
Maintaining knowledge of Hitachi Vantara solutions, industry and competitive products and an in-depth understanding of the providers strategy, with the ability to help shape future technology decisions
Previously having worked for a technology vendor, Software / Managed Services Provider or IT Consultancy
Experience developing new business sales opportunities and account management in the mid-market sector
Able to demonstrate a track record of achievement selling into and managing high-value IT and cloud programs
Well-organised with a good degree of business awareness and ability to leverage careful planning and consistency to achieve goals and objectives
Capable of developing excellent working relationships and comfortable articulating technology solutions to non-technical audiences
Self-motivated and adaptable and will appreciate the opportunity to work independently (with a high degree of support) to make decisions
