Project Administration and Oversight

Responsible for several various sized projects, including working with :

  • Architects, Managers and Team / Tech Coaches in cost estimating, release estimating and project staffing.
  • PM’s, Team / Tech Coaches to create detailed project roadmaps and managing change in project scope, schedule or resources.
  • Project team members to insure department best processes are followed and all required documentation is created and published.
  • Project stakeholders to determine requirements and set expectations.
  • Project support teams to deploy and operationalize outputs.
  • Must also :

  • Ensure that critical project issues / roadblocks are communicated upward and that mitigation plans are successfully executed.
  • Communicate project details to department management team, Architects, Capability Managers and / or Platform Consultants.
  • Advise Team Coaches on project resourcing decisions
  • Planning and Demand Management

  • Work with department management team, Architects, Capability Managers and Platform Consultants in prioritizing projects, tasks and issues.
  • Work with Team Coaches and Project Managers in making sure that project and story backlogs are fully hydrated and frequently groomed.
  • Partner with management peers, Quality team and PM’s to plan the scope of future releases.
  • Work with PMO team to develop monthly resource forecasts and yearly project roadmap.
  • Technology Leadership

  • Work with the department management team, Architects, and technical leads to set the technical and architectural direction for the team.
  • Ensure that design and approaches fit in with the larger architectural strategy and all technical standards are being followed.
  • Ensure that all security and compliance guidelines and standards are being followed.
  • Application Support

  • Engage team on customer support issues as needed.
  • May represent the team in communicating the progress and status of major incident investigations.
  • Supervisory

    Manage a group of software development engineers including full-time staff and contractors. Duties include :

  • Provide career development and mentoring for staff and direction for skill improvement initiatives.
  • Provide strong technology thought leadership and innovative solutions for complex problems.
  • Champion and drive change successfully within the team.
  • Drive cyclical people-related processes including performance reviews and goal setting across the team.
  • Oversee employee performance, providing routine and honest feedback, recognition, and rewards.
  • Successfully recruit and hire the best talent for permanent and contracted positions.
  • Implement strategies that effectively retain talent.
  • Create staffing plans that maximize skill strengths, develop additional skills within the group, and keep staff motivated while meeting business goals.
