Department Description

The Finance Support Technology function provides systems development, implementation and support services for FIL’s Finance, Procurement and Treasury Team.

We support several functions spanning across Business Finance & Management Accounting, Financial Accounting & Analytics, Taxation, Global Procurement, Corporate Treasury, and several other teams in all of FIL’s international locations, including UK, Japan, China and India.

We provide IT services to the Fidelity International businesses, globally. These include development and support of business functions that underpin our financial accounting and decision making for global CFO Orgs, and we implement multiple systems including ERP platforms, home grown apps and third-party products.

We are system providers to key process lifecycles such as Procure to Pay (P2P / Global Procurement), Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Acquire to Retire (A2R).

We also manage systems to enable cash management, forex trading and treasury operations across the Globe. We own warehouses that consolidate data from across the organisations functions to provide meaningful insights.

Purpose of the Role

This vacancy is for a highly motivated Senior Analyst Programmer to provide production support highly critical Corporate Treasury Operations.

The FIL Corporate Treasury department is a dedicated global centre of excellence, performing activities on behalf of the FIL group, its funds and clients (both Institutional & Retail), with teams based in Dublin, London and Bermuda.

Corporate TMS is aimed to reduce the risk associated with running complex analysis and processes with dependency on manual checks, as well achieving efficiency improvements through process efficiency.

The role involves supporting key Treasury applications. Treasury Management System is a 3rd party product used for corporate treasury functions such as cash management, investment management, FX trading, cash forecasting, counterparty exposure reporting, as well as AP payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • The right candidate should be able to work closely with business, helps in understanding the issues / queries, suggest possible alternatives and recommend best solution.
  • The person would also require keeping business well informed about the progress on the issues.
  • The person would require gaining good understanding of the quality processes followed in Fidelity.
  • This would also involve interaction with the business and other systems groups, so good communications skills and the ability to work under pressure are absolute must.
  • The candidate is expected to display professional ethics in his / her approach to work and exhibit a high-level ownership within a demanding working environment.
  • The candidate is required to work in UK shifts on rotation basis & cover on-call shift (24*7).
  • Essential Skills :

  • Hands on experience in Production Support Powershell Scripting, Windows Servers 2012 / 14 / 16, Unix, SQL Server2012 / 14 / 16, Control-M
  • Knowledge of Corporate TMS systems
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Experience of reporting tools including Crystal reporting, OBIEE, Tableau, PowerBI
  • Understanding of data structures and data integration
  • Person should be open to work in UK shift & providing on call support
  • Sound analytical & debugging skills.
  • Can work as part of the small team with independent role
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and Qualifications

  • Overall 4-7 years of relevant industry experience and at least 3-5 years of experience in Treasury Systems.
  • B.E. / M.C.A.
  • Experience of Agile methodologies and should have experience on tools like Atlassian suite, Confluence etc.
  • Experience of working with multi-cultural teams in a geographically diverse environment
  • Experience and Qualifications Required
