What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?
The position will be responsible for developing and working with application developers in Django Python, ReactJS(optional), MySQL or Postgres, Javascript(ReactJS is preferable) open source development and more (as per the specific requirement).
This person will drive improvements in performance, security, Maintainability and scalability of our applications. This team is a group of innovators and technologists that love to learn and collaborate.
Together, you’ll use a disciplined, innovative and a business focused approach to develop a wide variety of high-quality products and solutions.
As an experienced Front End Developer, your mission is to help our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run.
Your knowledge of design, development process, coding, and testing will help our team raise their game, meeting standards as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements.
Your expertise in various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally.
As a Developer -
Design client side and server side architecture
Developing functional web and mobile applications
Building reusable, performant and clean code
Write effective API’s (Application Programming Interfaces)
Writing automated tests
Providing feedback on the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs
Optimizing applications for scalability and speed
Review program codes and suggest correction in case of any errors
Writing functional requirement documents and specification
Stay updated with the latest technological advancement. Adapt to these changes by self-training and research work and evaluate how / where it can add value to the business
You are a collaborator -
Collaborate with business / functional team, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation of project
Ensure the proper use of information technology project management methodology to align with governance practices
Mentor and coach junior developer resources
Maintain production systems reliability through correct utilization of IT standards and governance processes
Support day to day business requirements according to global SLA
