Position Objective : To manger F&B SLS team in APAC (excluding China) and to ensure that the team is operating to meet Pall F&B BU aims and objectives.
To provide technical support and guidance to the F&B BU..Responsibilities : · Line Management Responsibility : Management of F&B SLS APAC Team (excluding China)· Financial / Budget Responsibility : · Support Budgeting and control of APAC F&B SLS expendituresEssential Job Functions : General Duties : · Lead Asian F&B SLS team and ensure that it responds to Food & Beverage business needs.
Communicate business activities / requirements to direct reports.· Ensure that the team is compliant to relevant Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
Ensure that the team is an active and constructive part of the global F&B SLS team.· Contribute to setting of yearly F&B SLS performance and development objectives.
Co-operate with F&B SLS global management to set and operate within respective countries budget.· Drive optimisation of processes and resources.
Drive harmonisation within APAC F&B SLS as well as globally.· Ensure staff within area of responsibility are recruited and adequately trained for the projects / work assigned to them.
Coordinate the communication within F&B SLS and other Pall departments to maintain the appropriate flux of information on products, applications, issues, organisation and other types of information significant to our activity.
Promote the participation of skilled SLS people into New Product Focus Teams and ensure that their participation is used to train other SLS people.
Get involved with critical technical issues with key customers to get high level input and ensure adequate global resources are made available to address problems.
Work in liaison with QA to provide technical answers to customers with quality complaints. Technical duties- Provide expert scientific and technical support to Pall F&B SLS division in APAC and link with other regional and global SLS teams.
Align closely with Pall F&B; develop strategy within SLS to support and monitor through metrics (e.g. response time) and specific deliverables (e.
g. customer reports).- Identify and establish technical and scientific programme priorities.- Provide technical guidance for SLS staff on technology and services, serve as key point of contact for BU on technical issues.
Collaborate with other functions to identify industry seminars / webinars and publications that Pall should be active in : to promote Pall technology and services and communicate progress.
Attend and participate at relevant industry conferences (report technical trends, changes to regulatory standards etc.).
Write and present technical papers for general publication / presentation at technical conferences and meetings.- Attend relevant business line meetings as appropriate.
Ensure training of SLS staff in new products / services.- Assist and direct customer issue resolution where appropriate.
Liaise with customers, and work with customers' Engineering, R&D and other technical personnel on process / fluid system optimization with respect to contamination control and filtration / separation processes.
Maintain constant communication with sales / distributors on customer support projects as to project objectives and testing status.
Interface with the SLS laboratories (CoE and locals, where applicable) and coordinate laboratory work in connection with projects / programs.

S., MSc or PhD in Science / Engineering. Position Competencies : Essential Previous Experience : · Proven experience in complex project managements, attitude in international communications and in team building.
