We are currently recruiting a Power Solutions Manager / Bid Manager to provide specialist bid management to the identification;
planning and working winning efforts for securing project works across Renewable inc PV, wind, and battery, Major ICP Connections inc Data centres and Manufacturing at all voltage levels, Delivery Distribution Centres and Business Parks, Commercial buildings, Industrial connections and DNOs
The Solutions Manager will manage key clients from initial project scoping and feasibility through to project estimates and any formal tenders with a target to secure annual sales in line with our agreed business plan and key relationship management of our targeted clients to ensure that we progressively move to the status of an established framework provider for our clients
You will :
Manage an active multi year pipeline of opportunities for single negotiation or tender maintaining a prioritised top 10 in year and an identified future year pipeline
Establish key enduring relationships with portfolio clients who commit to framework long term design, build, and operate agreements
Ensure that all negotiated or tendered opportunities are properly qualified, reviewed and updated in CRM in order to maximise opportunity, profitability and manage / control business and financial risk.
Be responsible for the assessment of tender and renewal strike rates each month.
Work with Professional Services design teams, Networks technical and estimating team to ensure that we provide compliant and market leading tender returns
Help to develop sales, bid and estimating capability within Networks by working actively with estimating teams, commercial, technical and operational teams, so that we have a highly effective sales team aligned with our Services bid hub and all functional experts
Work Closely with the Networks Key Account Director to identify growth opportunities within current and future key clients
You will have :
Proven capability as a Bid Manager to unlock strategic clients and to secure major new business awards
Experience in the utilities, major connections and regeneration sector is essential with either a DNO background in connections, substation and transformer build or a technical consultancy background in power / electrical engineering
Highly impactful, articulate; with the ability to influence at all levels and with evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers and key business stakeholders.
Sound strategic thinker with the ability to operate with a hands-on, pragmatic approach when required.
Experience of proactively engaging customers to improve relationships for the long-term and continue to drive value.
Recent and relevant experience of working with key accounts and customers across private and public sector.
