The goal for the Operations Research & Analytics team is to leverage the applied research methodology, deep understanding of operational processes and advanced tools / technology to identify, monitor, enhance and measure business value in operations and capabilities.
The Specialist, Operations Research and Analytics, provides comprehensive analytical services and solutions to the business in the following areas : Operational Intelligence, Operations Research, Decision Science and Process Improvement.
The Specialist, Operations Research and Analytics, designs and deploys required end-to-end analytical solutions, leveraging various tools, technologies and processes.
The role also acts as a subject matter expert in specified business domains or technical areas within the team and provides guidance to junior analysts.
Essential Job Functions
Master, maintain and improve domain expertise in specific areas.Domains may include but are not limited to : care center, collections, fraud, delivery operations, back office operations, digital and non-digital capabilities, data sources and definitions, BI-related tools, processes and technology, reporting, dashboards, visualization, process improvement, applied research methodology, etc.
Mastery includes related data, tools, technology, methodologies and a strong ability to link the domain to overarching business strategies.
Lead end-to-end solution design and delivery within the team in one or more of the following areas :
Develop, deploy and maintain solutions for reporting, on-going monitoring systems and alerts, BI dashboards, self-service analytics and visualization tools.
Leverage various tools, technologies and processes.
Conduct scenario analysis, risk analysis, cost / benefit analysis and leverage other advanced techniques such as scenario planning, simulation, optimization and forecasting.
Provide guidance, risk assessment and recommendations to business partners and leadership to ensure sound decision making.
Through process mapping, data collection and analysis, identify process improvement opportunities in business operations.
Work with business leaders / stakeholders to implement new processes and measure the outcome / business value.
Work closely with designated business area leaders and stakeholders to understand their business objectives, operational processes, performance measurement and decision making mechanism.
Use analytics to identify use cases that drive potential business value. Has a strong understanding of how business goals, objectives and strategy connect to operational priorities.
Demonstrate ability to be a self-starter and critical thinker. Learn new skills and stay up to date on the latest tools, technology and techniques.
Demonstrate a passion for using data & analytics to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency.Provide training and guidance to other team members in certain areas.
Demonstrate ability to manage medium to large scale projects with a team as a Project Manager (manage project scope, problem formulation, timelines, resource allocation, deliverables etc.
Experience of handling projects in an agile manner is a positive
Provide technical guidance and share domain knowledge / expertise with juniors on the team. Develop and execute training programs for the team.
Proactively identify opportunities and communicate progress and status to key stakeholders.Present results to key stakeholders and leadership and bring feedback to the team.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industry Engineering, Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Science, Engineering, or any course work with emphasis on data, analysis, information technology, quantitative skills or critical thinking.
Eight or more years work experience in business, operations, engineering, manufacturing, science, research, call center or non-profit.
Proficient with data analysis, SQL, rational database, Statistical analysis and business problem formulation.
Preferred Experience :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, business, management, economics, finance, science, engineering, social studies, psychology, etc.
Eight or more years work experience in business problem formulation, rational database or big data, Statistical analysis, BI & reporting, visualization, operations research or process improvement.
Financial services experience strongly preferred.
