The ideal candidate will have deep embedded system technical knowledge along with a focus on building top teams who deliver great consumer products focused on incredible customer experiences.
Design, plan, and implement solutions to customer-driven problems. Provide hands on pre-sales technical support and expert advice on the installation, configuration and implementation of products and technologies.
Conduct in-depth product presentations and demonstrations for highly technical audiences and participate in technical discussions regarding the use of products.
Provide design direction to customers on how to best utilize products to address their particular requirements and participate in "Proof of Concept", "Pilots" and "Evaluation" types of activities that involve the installation, customization and testing of products.
Specify and define firmware architecture. Implement and debug code and create supporting documentation. Respond to marketing requirements, architect, plan, and deliver effective interlocks with hardware and software organizations, ensuring quality deliverables while adhering to aggressive schedules.
Develops, manages and maintains product specific engineering documentation including; bills of material, work instructions, and component and product specifications
Identifies special or unique process / testing procedures needed
Remains abreast of current developments and innovations in hardware and software technologies
Responsible for sustaining hardware and software for customers and their associated assemblies
Performs detailed technical diagnostics / trouble shooting and in-depth technical support
Generates technical documentation and reports suitable for customer presentation on subjects related to product specifications, failure analysis, bench marking studies and results, diagnostics results and computer design related issues
Maintains relationships with vendors to obtain product life cycle and product specific technical information and training.
Develops and utilizes test plans and hardware for product and component evaluations and develops and implements test plans and hardware for the production process.
Assembles, evaluates and tests new components. Documents findings and results with organized technical records which can be easily referred to by others within the organization and incorporated into engineering / production related documentation.
Initiates and implements engineering changes and corrective actions as necessary.
As required, builds evaluation systems in support of Sales Engineering for new products built to customer / internal specifications.
Experienced in designing controls hardware
Competent in 2D AutoCAD and ePlan
Experience in understanding and following customer specifications.
Experience with various MCU cores (16 to 32-bits, common ARM Cortex) and peripherals.
Visit to vendor / client site as and when required
Strong knowledge of embedded hardware systems (Microcontrollers, FPGA, CPLD Memories, etc.) and able to read schematics
Experience in various RF technologies and profiles such as BT classic, BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi.
Design responsibilities include the development and analysis of : analog, digital and power circuits including 12-24 bits ADCs, 8 / 16 / 32bit uPs and uCs, displays, sensors, electromechanical power switches, and AC / DC, linear and switching power supplies
Generate schematics and support PCB layout designers.
Support current production designs including quality improvements, cost reduction, component obsolescence and failure analysis.
Evaluate and approve electronic components that requirements for availability, performance and cost. Create components drawings.

Electronics, Electronics & Communications
Minimum of 8-10 years- experience related to Controls hardware design using AutoCAD.
Able to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Must have good time management skills and be able to meet deadlines.
Strong functional knowledge of electronic components and circuits including microprocessors, microcontrollers, op-amps, regulators, standard digital logic ICs, and discrete semiconductors (diodes, transistors, FETS, triacs) is required
Knowledge of schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation is required. Cadence ver 16.6 knowledge & C programming skills is a plus.
Knowledge of FMEA’s, electrical stress analysis calculations, EMI and EMC PCB layout techniques is required
Good documentation and presentation skills using MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
