Senior CAE Engineer / Technical Lead - CAE

Job Description

Functional / Technical Expectations -

  • Perform design analysis for investigating the problems related to impact, bullet penetration, blast simulation etc. using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software (LS DYNA)
  • Ability to perform Linear / Non- linear simulations in ANSYS and LS Dyna
  • Responsible for structural simulations and Optimization using ANSYS and Explicit dynamic analysis using LS Dyna.
  • Strong mechanical engineering skills with focus on Stress / Structural Analysis
  • Interact and Understand customer basic requirements / expectations for new product design and improved designs and convert their requirements to simulation inputs.
  • Interaction with divisions or units worldwide and establish a strong stakeholder relationship
  • Understand the practical elements and come with a suitable Boundary conditions that best represents the real world precisely.
  • Interpret simulation output, provide recommendations and discuss with designers
  • Good understanding of materials (metals and non metals) and manufacturing processes
  • Reviews model for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, requirements, and related specifications.
  • Ensures all design and modelling information is treated in a confidential manner.
  • Prepares technical reports.; Preparing detailed and quality simulation reports with valuable suggestion for design improvements
  • Prepares regular progress, interim and completion project reports.
  • Develop new working practices and apply new software techniques to improve the quality of the model, reduce time for model preparation and improve the ease of use of the model.
  • Knowledge of Pro-E
  • Participate in design review meetings to provide appropriate recommendations
  • Provide timely design guidance and support to team to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with company design, safety, quality, and procedural standards
