Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (Commercial and Corporate Affairs) is looking for Global Pricing Manager. The position is based in Bangalore.

About the department

The Commercial & Corporate Affairs Global Business Services (GBS) unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial & Corporate Affairs, including Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning and Commercial Operations.

The Commercial & Corporate Affairs unit also supports Biopharm global marketing for Haemophilia and growth disorders. In Obesity Commercial Unit, we are focused on changing the way obesity is viewed and treated today, as well as increasing number of people who receive innovative treatments and quality care.

In addition to driving innovative market development and communication efforts, the unit is responsible for the global commercialization and optimization of Saxenda® and Obesity & NASH pipelines.

The position

As a Senior Global Pricing Manager you will be representing pricing function, provide strategic guidance and insights to the organization.

you will be responsible for developing and managing a robust business analytics platform to support the price optimization modelling, business case reviewing and reference pricing impact analysis.

You will be monitoring prices for in-line products in order to optimise value of portfolio. Further preparation of reports like Price Monitor, Investor Relations, Pricing Insights, Top 15- strategic brands, list price tracking, New Competitor pricing etc.

You will be providing robust pricing and contracting recommendations to senior management, shares insights with the stakeholders as a result of the analyses.

Additionally you will be developing / improvising / maintaining processes and templates as well as systems for sourcing and analysing pricing insights in Novo Nordisk and use these to recommend actionable processes to support timely, targeted and optimised price decision making Price Monitor, Pricing Insights.

Further, you will be supporting pricing tools & processes training for regions, business areas and affiliates. (Create / update user guides and provide direct support)

This position requires you to be highly self-motivated, proactive, organised and have excellent collaboration and communication with stakeholders from the global NN organisation (Denmark and Bangalore).

Qualifications

Below are the required skills.

  • Master’s Degree (preferably within quantitative / management discipline) from a well-recognized institute - Masters of Business Administration, MSc.
  • International Management, Masters in Health Economics or similar

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Pharma industry. At least 4 year of experience in a Global or Regional Pharma Pricing function or 4 years of experience from a Business Area or affiliate Pricing & Reimbursement function.
  • Consulting experience would be a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and comfortable working with different cultures
  • Healthcare Policy and System Insight - Demonstrates a robust understanding of payer and policy-maker landscapes and trends, locally as well as regionally across Affiliates.
  • Applies this knowledge to shape projects and strategies to drive market access

  • Payer Management Expertise (Pricing) - Understands specific price setting mechanisms in key markets. Demonstrates knowledge of drivers for price and access for payer stakeholders.
  • Is able to identify and address price and access opportunities and challenges by product and portfolio level in key markets and segments.

  • Pricing & Contracting (Pricing) - Employs specific tools (pricing and contracting, price optimization models, etc.) to generate and analyze pricing and reimbursement insight.
  • Leverages generated insight into actionable pricing and reimbursement strategies in order to ensure profitable access

  • Payer Negotiations expertise (Pricing) - Knows the payer archetypes and can action those to optimise the negotiation strategy.
  • Knows and understands the skills and competencies required for successful payer negotiations. Develops actionable payer negotiation strategies and tactical plans.

  • Must have : Expert in Excel, Access and PowerPoint 2010. Proficiency in Advanced Excel, VBA & PowerPoint. VBA skills desirable to automate some of the existing reports.
