The Position

Deputy Manager - Process & Improvement

Job Summary

The Process & Improvement Engineer is at the centre of industrial change management deployment and leads the implementation of various best practices identified at group level. Main missions are :

  • Process optimization included issues related to routine work as well as process or equipment issues. This will include :
  • Find & implement ideas to improve the profitability of various processing units : productivity , Overall Equipment Efficiency analysis, energy efficiency, yield and product quality.
  • Compare the production line design with the Carbonates Process Benchmark to raise the standards.
  • Write financial analyses of each options to define the impact on business and project priority.
  • Imerys Industrial Improvement program (I3) assessment : investigations and interviews, the performance of the plant on each of the targets defined in the reference documents, typically : safety culture, management organization, process and equipment maintenance, housekeeping, dust management, quality, process& energy optimization, people empowerment.
  • Together with the local teams, determine key priorities and design an action plan to be put in place.
  • Implement the action plan by helping defining the work to be done by the different teams on the site.
  • Train the different work groups , help them providing feedback and presenting findings, deciding on actions to be implemented and implementing them, measuring success.
  • Make sure goals are set to our highest standards , that process are in line with benchmark , that results are achieved on time and that actions put in place are sustainable .
  • Implement, promote and update the Country Saving Roadmap, efficiciency analysis and all industrial tools and routines used by Carbonates APAC.
  • Implement, promote and improve continuously the Visual Management.
  • Insure proper communication of our actions through the common tools are sustainable.
  • Support the definition of sites specific industrial mid-term vision (3YP) in line with all level of industrial management.
