Following the incredible success of Sumo Pune, which since its founding in 2007 has grown to over 150 talented team members across a myriad of disciplines, Sumo Digital is opening a new studio in Bangalore to support the development of some of the most exciting video game projects in the world.

Sumo Bangalore is a new studio that will play a key part in the co-development of multiple AAA console titles across Sumo Group.

We are looking to hire key specialists across Art and Engineering to join the Sumo India family.

As a Sumo Digital studio, Sumo Bangalore joins an award-winning family of international studios. Previous titles developed by Sumo Digital include the BAFTA-Award winningSackboy : A Big Adventure, Hood : Outlaws & Legends, Control Ultimate Edition on Google Stadia, Apple Arcade Award-winning Little Orpheus, Hot Shot Racing, WST Snooker and Spyder.

We'd love for you to join us as we continue our journey with the launch of Sumo Bangalore.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced UI programmer with an interest in developing in-game and frontend UI for AAA games projects to join our team.

You will work with UI designers and artists to implement, iterate and polish UI features, helping the UI designers to understand the engineering implications of their designs.

In addition to working within our existing UI framework, you will create and extend UI tools and systems as appropriate for the task in hand.

You will assist project managers with estimation and task scheduling.

To be successful, you will have :

5+ years of strong C++ programming experience

Experience of developing in-game UI and / or frontend features

Excellent communication skills

Worked on at least one released game

The ability to estimate and manage own work

Follow best practices, development processes, creating documentation and coding standards

Mentor less experienced people, share knowledge and best practices with the team

Experience with source control systems

It would be advantageous, if you have :

Contributed to UI features in shipped titles on recent games consoles. Experience of implementing platform UI conformity requirements via TRCs and XRs.

Experience working to manufacturers guidelines for different platforms

Worked with UMG in Unreal Engine 4

Experience developing custom UI solutions
