Reporting to the Country Procurement Head, the candidate will develop and implement sourcing strategies for India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, manage supplier relationships and negotiate and implement improvement strategies to reduce the total cost of ownership for the category.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Ensure strong controls on contract management and Third Party Management Controls.

Identify and drive cost reductions, supplier consolidation, service delivery improvements, process efficiencies, risk mitigation and standardization across Citi businesses

Analyze business processes and determine opportunities achieved through influencing supply and demand of services

Work closely with the key Regional and Country stakeholders to identify, develop and drive strategies and cost reduction initiatives related to the expense categories across countries.

Establish strong and effective working relationships with various Citi stakeholders at a Regional and Country level and jointly develop strategies and solutions that will support their objectives

Implement initiatives and realize benefits to ensure assigned procurement save targets are met

Lead cross-functional teams comprised of country centric Procurement managers and stakeholders from multiple business units in the development and execution of sourcing strategies

Manage Requests for Proposal, supplier selection, negotiation and contracting processes

Analyze supplier proposals, structure and negotiate supply agreements and manage supplier relations and performance

Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of purchasing policies and procedures

Ensure full compliance with purchasing policies, procedures and standards, ethical practices, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations

Coordinate all administrative requirements including approved supplier program, contract management system, procure-to-pay system, and category specific metrics and reporting

This position interacts with all levels of management, including senior management, at both Citi and suppliers

Participates with Procurement leadership to ensure strategic direction, operational and quality goals are maintained


Bachelor's or equivalent degree from an accredited College or University, MBA preferred

6-10 years of Procurement / Third Party Management experience

Ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional and positive manner

Excel in organizational, analytical, time management skills

Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, obtaining consensus

Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills with strong influencing and persuasive talents

Self-motivated, takes initiative and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task and prioritize a wide array of initiatives

Has an aptitude for innovation

Strong customer orientation
