About the Program

Do you want to be a key part of a team focused on helping startups and emerging brands build, launch and scale by leveraging the world-class retail expertise and infrastructure of Amazon?

We are looking for an experienced, self-directed candidate who can help make Amazon Launchpad the partner of choice for this seller cohort through a suite of brand development services, dashboards, self-service tools etc relevant across their entire lifecycle.

Some of the areas you will work on entail Brand Building, Selection and Consumer Insights, Customer Acquisition, Fulfillment channels, Brand Protection, other privileges to help startups and emerging brands showcase their exciting new products to millions of Amazon customers ().

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, detail oriented and highly motivated Key Account Manager to help deliver high-value, strategic solutions to sellers on the Launchpad program.

The right candidate will enjoy and thrive in working in an early stage / start-up environment, comfortable with moving quickly, have experience with account management or business development and be excited by the prospect of learning how to support new brands on Amazon.

The ideal candidate will have service orientation mindset and prior client facing experience, ability to work in an environment with minimal supervision and possess an ability to influence external stakeholders.

She / he should have a fair understanding of the Amazon Seller ecosystem and an eagerness to explore new processes / opportunities for creation of new solutions for seller challenges, at scale.

Understanding the specific needs of emerging brands, developing solutions that cater to these needs, and helping these brands within the category / pod grow, is a large part of the mandate.

The candidate will be required to manage a team of 6 or more direct reports, with a team that is expected to grow further.

Key job responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities :

  • Understand products and services offered by Amazon Launchpad and articulate its features and benefits to brands and stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver brand facing solutions to solve for critical business challenges for our sellers
  • Own the brands growth and success within the program and continuously engage with sellers and internal teams to ideate on new solutions for seller success
  • Analyze data with rigor and detail orientation, to identify and solve problems for brands on the program.
  • Ensures timely response to all escalations.
  • Lead a team of 6-8 Account Managers on tasks associated to managing launchpad accounts, motivating the team to deliver on business goals.
  • Contributes to coaching & developing the team on customer interaction & management. Builds a high performing team and facilitates their career enhancement and growth.
  • Works with the team to build weekly / monthly business reviews.
  • Drive the reviews with partner teams, peers, management on a regular basis. Proactively gathers, analyzes, and shares data with management to influence business decisions.
  • Exhibits & drives a culture of putting customer first with the team.
  • Should capture the voice of customer and share customer pain points with the management team.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Total work experience of 5+ years with minimum 2 yrs of people management.
  • Exposure to e-commerce, sales and digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to face external and internal partners in a professional and mature manner, and strong ability to handle objections.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment. ·
  • 1+ years of experience in sales, advertising, brand marketing, sales promotions or account management
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in an analytical, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction
  • Passion for operational excellence and discipline in executing repeatable processes
  • Excellent written / oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly
  • Proven ability to manage the business by the numbers . Must be metrics-driven
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and SQL
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post graduate Degree (MBA) in a business discipline ·
  • Experience with e-commerce, retail, advertising, or media would be an advantage.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment with high ownership
  • Work experience in an account management position or similar roles.
  • Advanced computer literacy especially in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in data analysis, either professional experience or through your education.
  • Experience in sales and marketing is preferred.
