Role Description

  • Field Service Engineer to handle X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) Instrument. Attend installation, maintenance and break-down calls of customer.
  • Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer is satisfied with the performance of our instrument and the intended application is productive for customer.
  • make sure we deliver world class experience to our customer by providing pro-active service support for our equipment and software.

  • Develop a win-win relation with customer and project Thermo Fisher as a valued partner. He should collaborate and contribute in achieving Teams commercial goal.
  • Work closely with Sales Team / Supply Chain and Finance to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution and ensure we meet targeted organic growth for the business.
  • Participate in implementation of process improvement initiatives associated with customer centric service operation.
  • Maintain and update all necessary records related to the customers for whom he is the primary engineer.
  • Guide customer in planning and maintaining optimum spares stock.
  • Provide pre-installation, installation & warranty services.
  • Meet or exceed business commercial plan.
  • Embrace Thermo Fisher culture & methodology to achieve all service KPI.
  • Qualification

  • Candidate should be Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics / Instrumentation with minimum 75% marks in aggregate.
  • Candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in handling XRF instrument.
  • Skills :

  • Ability to plan and ensure on-time execution of PM, BD and installations will be highly important to meet customer requirement as well as meet business revenue and booking targets.
  • He should have knowledge on the handling of high value sensitive electrical and instrumentation-based equipment’s.
  • The job demands extensive touring and therefore, candidate should be ready to travel frequently.
  • Candidate should posses’ excellent skill to communicate with customer in English both verbally as well as in writing.
  • Knowledge :

  • In-depth knowledge of both EDXRF and WDXRF is necessary to manage and grow the business. Process knowledge of these sectors will be added advantage for the deserving candidate.
  • Knowledge & experience of component level fault finding and repair will be added advantage.
  • It is expected that candidate will have experience of handling Microsoft OS, both new & older versions.
  • Experience :

  • Candidate should have experience of working in Cement and Metal Industries.
  • Process knowledge of cement, Steel and Aluminum will be added advantage.
  • Candidate should have experience of planning and execution of installation and commissioning of high cost Proficiency in latest computer hardware and software is essential.
