This position will be a critical business partner. This role will be responsible for analyzing cost savings opportunities across all retail locations.
Conduct statistical analysis, modeling, tool development and the identification and quantification of improvement opportunities.
Will work closely with Operations and Merchandising teams to forecast and improve overall profitability with a focus on Inventory Management and Shrink reduction.
Analytics / Reporting : Identify trends in sales, inventory, shrink and margin data across all lines of business and provide recommendations on cost saving opportunities.
Build various analytical tools & models to evaluate key business analytics and conduct cost / benefit analyses. Create conceptual prototypes and mockups and communicate the results of analysis work through graphics, written reports, and meeting presentations.
Prepare various reports for shrink upon request.
Lead efforts to pull, configure and interpret Giant Eagle inventory, purchases, sales, shrink and financial data to identify cost saving opportunities to improve efficiencies within current operational design and margin profitability.
Strategic Thinking / Project Management : Demonstrates understanding of and anticipates key industry trends and conditions and the implications on GE Suggest analyses and quantitative approaches that maximize learning.
Leverage trends to shape creative and innovative solutions aimed at creating competitive advantage. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company's data sources.
Basic Qualification :
Bachelors Degree / Masters Degree- Business, Finance
Experience : 3 to 5 years
Previous retail analytical experience
Good documentation skills, with expert in Microsofts Excel
SQL and PowerBI, Tableau, ClickView experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to deliver results while working with remote teams
