Kaseya is seeking a smart, energetic and personable Senior Copy Editor for our growing content marketing team. In our collaborative, global environment, you will work closely with our team of professional communicators to help produce content that includes customer- and prospect-facing blogs, emails, presentations, long-form content, infographics, video scripts and newsletters.
The senior copy editor will be responsible for developmental editing, overseeing spelling, syntax, grammar, style and ensuring consistency in style and branding across all deliverables, from long-form content to blog posts to presentations and more.
The copy editor will also help writers and producers with fact-checking and issues of structure and ensure that all written content has proper voice, context, balance, and clarity.
The copy editor will also be pulled into presentation development and light design work as needed. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment is key. Role &
Work alongside other product marketing managers and content marketers to help create content that educates and entertains our audience and supports marketing goals
Proofread prospect emails, landing page copy, scripts, PowerPoint decks and long-form content and edit content copy on deadline needed
Ensure tone of content is in line with style and appropriate to brand and deliverable
Help establish and maintain style guidelines
Assist writers, editors and producers with writing headlines and captions
Special projects as assigned
Assist with key marketing technical initiatives as needed
3 to 5 years of experience as a copy editor, ideally in a B2B digital environment
Excellent writing skills with an understanding of how to write for brands / sponsored content
Exceptional skills in editing and packaging stories with a tone that is clever and conversational, yet highly informational and accurate.
Well-versed in a wide range of technology topics (cloud, mobile, backup, endpoint management) and familiar with common acronyms
PowerPoint power user with a keen eye for graphics and competence in various graphic design software (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop) preferable but not a must
Strong organizational and project management skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword placement
Bonus skills include Google Analytics, Google AdWords and HTML
