DEPARTMENT BRIEF The automation team is responsible for creating the automated test cases for a variety of FactSet products across different platforms such as windows and web-based applications.
The team is responsible for performing functional, CI / CD and web service testing and working in collaboration with the QA leads, software engineering and design team to understand the functional and technical specifications along with the enhancements to the application and create and maintain the automate tests and ensure they are executed during the release cycles.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Lead project and perform the following functions for the assigned product areas Collaborate with project teams to Understand product functionality and behavior Acquire an overview of product technical architecture Understand priorities for automation Communicate technical challenges and roadblocks for automating manual test cases Automate manual test cases to perform Functional testing Integration testing Performance testing Load testing Web service testing Review code written by team members and provide necessary feedback Guide the team to overcome the issues seen with desktop, web applications Plan, assign and monitor the automation requests for assigned product areas Ensure that all department standards and procedures are explained and followed by all team members Participate in project meetings with Engineering and Content Managers along with QA leads to gather and understand business expectations Ensure project deadlines are consistently met, and promptly communicate to stakeholders any potential delays, and providing associated reasons Interact with the Engineers and QA leads to identify the changes in their application and its impact on automation Provide meaningful and measurable team goals, and help the team achieve those goals Review and define metrics to measure performance of each team member Regularly track performance of team members, provide feedback, guidance for improvement Coach & mentor new hires and less experienced team members Maintain training material and documentation so it always up to date JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 4 years’ experience in software testing with Automation tools such as UFT / Selenium / Protractor and Test Complete Hands on experience in automating desktop and web-based applications Experience working in onshore-offshore model Hands on experience for creating or maintaining the Test Management tool (Framework) using .
