This role is to lead Fulfillment and CBW for a high priority initiative that will drive innovation in the shopping experience for Amazon India.

The individual will collaborate with cross functional partners across IN and WW platform teams to formulate and implement initiatives for a new storefront on Amazon.

The scope of this role will cover customer and seller experience components in our retail flywheel. As a Sr. program manager, you will develop medium and long-term strategies to offer customer-centric (end consumer and seller) features and programs.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about managing challenging, lengthy projects across multiple teams and locations.

S / he will be comfortable marshaling large amounts of data to make decisions and build business cases. We are looking for a Program Manager who shares Amazon's customer obsession someone who understands the importance of compelling features and functionalities in driving great customer experience - as well as executing with speed.

This is a high visibility role that requires you to bring agile experimentation, data integrity, and business maturity. The leader will have relentless desire to exceed customers’ expectations while optimizing the overall regulatory compliance, quality and cost requirements to meet VP / SVP level goals.

A strong bias for action, strategic planning skills, quantitative analysis, and the ability to organize and deliver new initiatives involving leadership across cross-functional operations, software development, business, and external contracting teams is essential.

An ideal candidate will demonstrate :

  • Customer obsession and passion for understanding customer behavior, engagement and growth through data and customer anecdotes
  • Ability to synthesize vast and disparate data points, develop key insights on customer experience, highlight gaps (if any) and design experiments across cross-functional teams that target customer segments to shop on Amazon
  • Curiosity, and ability to quickly learn, deliver and react to detailed assessment of triggers and barriers for growth in different customer cohorts, and demographic segments
  • The role also requires hands-on program management, excellent stakeholder management skills and curiosity to keep learning as we venture into new opportunity areas.

  • Understanding the business requirements in a dynamic and evolving world of changing consumer behavior within fashion and lifestyle categories, post COVID-19
  • Developing strategies to scale fulfillment according to new business initiatives with complex operational components
  • Earning trust across functional and business teams, to plan, organize, manage, and execute complex programs
  • Innovating for step-change improvement in compliance, safety, quality, and cost metrics
  • Launching fulfillment and delivery experience programs that enable a world class fulfillment experience for customers
  • Demonstrate high judgement in balancing frugality, think big and customer obsession for internal and external customers, in a growing business
  • Additional Job Requirements

  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail
  • Technology affinity and a track record of employing systems to drive simplification, efficiency and change
  • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment and take data backed decisions ·
  • Excellent business judgement, with a track record of generating ideas and solving problems independently ·
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • 5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • 5+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    o MBA and work experience in technical field is highly desired

    o Prior experience in planning and building large fulfilment network

    o Prior experience in operations data analytics

    o Prior experience in managing P&L; driving cost reduction

    o Prior experience or use of Lean / Six Sigma

    o Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL or Looker are a plus
