We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and resourceful Senior Operations Specialist to support SVB’s growth. This candidate will be in SVB’s wire investigation team responsible for post payment investigations with external and internal clients, agent bank and third-party banks.
Primary Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To
Performs analysis of the enquiry received and perform investigations as the need arises - Functions can include wire amendments, recalls, returns and traces in addition to general ledger account research and know your customer (KYC) requests
Handling SWIFT queries in favor of received or sent-out Cross border payments that were unsettled / unable to apply, and must be amended or recalled
Monitoring and calling out payment related issue from customers or agent banks
Re-effecting customer or bank-to-bank payments when needed
Collaborating with other teams to find the best solution when investigating cases and identifying the root-cause
Using proactive approach in sharing best practices and proposals for future improvements
Assists in analyzing operational needs and provides input for project requests to tackle the identified need
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement them to build efficiencies
Handle full workload with a positive demeanor.
Prioritizes and complete multiple tasks optimally
Requirements
2-4 years of payment investigations or similar experience in a financial institution
Strong Experience in Payment Investigations
Clear understanding of Payments flow
Knowledge on SWIFT messages, Wire Payments and correspondent bank relationships
Ability to understand various fields of Swift / ISO messages and message types
US Market experience is a plus
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Communicates with poise and professionalism through verbal and written communication
Carries out tasks efficiently and quickly with strong attention to detail and deadlines
