Senior Manager - Business Development KAM Head (KAM Head)

Business strategy

  • Know the customer : Deeply understand customer behaviour and demand on the category
  • Own the business : Ownership of maintaining & growing the business of Kids Clothing category by identifying opportunities in existing business & potential new opportunities
  • Know the market : Stay on top of trends in the industry, find opportunities and prioritize based on potential of supply hubs, platform strengths, internal capabilities, etc.
  • Know the competition : Understand online and offline players. Ensure Flipkart selection stays well ahead of competition, make Flipkart the preferred platform
  • Influence the stakeholders : Convert strategies into action by liaising with cross-functional stakeholders and drive growth for Flipkart as well as partners
  • Vendor Management

  • Develop deep and long standing relationship with the brands / vendors - to drive relationships from the strategic to the tactical
  • Own the terms of business with the vendor- products, returns, monetisation, etc.
  • Ensure high-share of mind from the partners. Build deep ties.
  • Market Understanding

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the market - short term and long term trends
  • Have an in depth knowledge of competition and ability to influence the market
  • Develop and implement industry best practices. Move the industry with you!
  • People

  • Build, retain and groom a strong team to deliver
  • Set goals, define KPIs and ensure team tracks effectively towards goals
  • Qualifications and experience :

  • Educational background Graduation, MBA is preferred with min 6 year experience
  • Knowledge of retail, E-commerce, team handling and prior KAM experience is a BIG plus
  • Puts the customer at the beginning, centre & end of every decision
  • Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills, data driven decision making
  • Willing to take calculated risks to grow the category
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of technology and business
  • Must be willing to learn
  • Ability to connect with people across teams & levels
  • Strong bias for Action - Flipkart works at a very rapid pace
