Overview The display software team is looking for talented software engineers interested in developing software for mobile and embedded devices.
This role will involve working at all layers of the Display software stack on Android, Linux and Windows, spanning from user-
mode to kernel, with leading edge technologies related to color processing and VR. Flexibility to learn and work on new Multimedia areas, partnering with teams across geographies for cross functional technologies including video, camera, DSP / GPU for QC multimedia cores towards meeting project milestones.
Responsibilities will include the design and development of new features, support for new hardware, pre / post-silicon development, debugging of issues within software, optimizing software for performance and power, development of unit tests and working with our partners, game developers, and OEMs Minimum Qualifications Detailed oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills
Strong working knowledge of C / C++ programming
Experience in the following Display / Graphics Frameworks and platforms : Android, Weston / Wayland.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred working knowledge of Linux Kernel, in particular the DRM / KMS driver.Knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines is preferred : Display (Pixel processing / composition, MIPI DSI, HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)Fluent in industry standard software development tools : SW / HW debuggers, code revision control systems (GIT, Perforce), IDEs and build tools.
