Role Summary
Engineering Systems Administrator : Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
Controls user access and passwords. Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
Monitors usage and performance. Trains personnel on system usage. Survey Tip : If hardware or software systems are used outside of development engineering function, match to Network Systems Administrator (6421-6426) or Database Administrator (6411-6416).
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for managing DevOps infrastructure including VMware cluster, SAN storage, fiber switches, Linux build servers - with focus on security, performance optimization, and monitoring.
