The Role Responsibilities

The role holder will be a part of a new Risk Governance hub being created in Bangalore India, focussing on support for Framework and Policy Management.

The candidate will support the ERM Framework and Policy Management team to ensure that Framework and Policy Governance Standards (FPGS) are adhered to.

The role holder will work in close alignment with a dedicated onshore manager that covers content driven topics and senior stakeholder management.

Maintain Frameworks, Policies and standards

  • Monitor adherence to FPGS to ensure effective frameworks and policies are in place providing clarity to front line staff of their obligations.
  • Support the annual review of Frameworks and Policies to ensure these remain relevant and in alignment to the FPGS.
  • As part of the annual review process challenge where documents are unclear, impracticable or duplicative.
  • Risk Governance Information & Systems

  • Provide support for the effective administration of the Risk Governance tool and the SCB rule book for intuitive access to Control Framework Documents (RTFs, policies, standards).
  • Processes

  • Provide support to continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Framework and Policy Management processes
  • Complete control testing to support the assessment of risks within the Framework and Policy Management processes
  • Assurance and Reporting

  • Maintain the central Policy Risk Register
  • Track the progress of any gaps and open items in the RTF and Policy inventories
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly ERMF dashboards and reports, and any other ad-hoc reports as required. This includes engagement with stakeholders for inputs and review / challenge of progress updates provided by stakeholders against timelines

  • Market Knowledge : Strong experience in Risk Management
  • Good communicator, in particular written communications in English
  • Ability to explain complex matters in simple and intuitive terms
  • Ability to track and report progress updates of multiple areas against milestones and highlight key issues

  • Good organiser of incoming requests within the team
  • Ability to work with minimal direction

  • Strong experience in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Bachelor Degree qualifications and experience in financial services with a specialisation in risk management and governance
