The Technical Artist primary responsibility is to support artists in production, ensuring that productions run smoothly and efficiently by resolving technical issues.
Assist artists with render job debugging and with general troubleshooting for shots and assets.
Assist with production setup and configuration tasks.
Test new software, tools, and pipeline improvements.
Work with Pipeline and Development teams to address production-specific pipeline needs.
Maintain an awareness of production resource utilization.
Work with R&D teams to maintain, extend, and update core production pipeline software.
Accurately and consistently evaluate pipeline successes and shortcomings and communicate them to the pipeline team.
Be willing and able to learn new software, programming languages, and techniques that will be required to fulfill the above duties.
Job Qualifications :
3 5 years Animation Industry experience as a show TD / Technical artist
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and in team settings.
Proactive and highly motivated.
Familiarity with film post-production and / or computer graphics techniques highly desired.
Degree in Arts, Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
Ability to learn new skills autonomously highly desired.
Technical Qualifications :
Basics understanding of programming in Python.
Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows preferred.
Knowledge of Maya, Houdini, Nuke, and Harmony or other similar industry tool a plus.
