Job summary

Prime Now is a premium supply chain that is capable of delivering orders within 2 hours of placement. The team aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and in the most cost effective way as possible.

This role is based out of our Bangalore corporate office and is for an experienced, passionate, dynamic, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed individual.

S&OP is a highly visible and critical function at Amazon, the scope of which includes driving ownership, earning trust of stakeholders to delivering results.

This position involves regular communication with senior management, project sponsors on status, risks and change control.

Stakeholder management, cross-team coordination and executive presentation skills are must. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, enjoys working with large scale of data, a curious builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities would be :

  • Work on better forecasting techniques to improve S&OP accuracy
  • Analyse the pattern of demand on daily and weekly basis and make changes in the process accordingly.
  • Monitor SOP involving multiple stakeholders and initiate improvements when needed
  • Drive standardizations of tools and processes to build scalable execution plans with operations team.

    Interact with multiple stakeholders to get inputs and give updates on different projects.

    Key job responsibilities

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or similar field
  • Stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of SQL / ETL and visualization tools like tableau.
  • Proficient with SQL, Excel
  • Familiarity with Python
  • 3- 5 years of work experience with at least 2 years of experience working in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of excel.
  • An ability and interest to work in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment.
  • A work ethic based on a strong desire to work hard and curious to learn
  • Interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post graduate (MBA)
  • Skill to handle sellers as stakeholders / customers with outstanding organizational and follow-up skill
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills with a capability of setting priorities and working under pressure
  • Must be able to multi-task, managing multiple sites simultaneously with attention to detail and high capability to work on different projects in parallel
  • Experience working with manufacturing industry will be an advantage
  • Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining, financial analysis, dynamic pricing, demand modeling, game theory and customer / product segmentation
  • Experience with e-commerce, retail or marketing analytics would be an advantage.
  • Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools
