Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyzes test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective action.
Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Experience : 8 to 10 years
Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech / MCA
Must have skills :
Experience in validating networking software components for high performance devices such as base-stations, switches, routers, gateways or firewalls
Experience in validating data plane and control plane network software stack
Proficient in atleast two protocols / technologies : TCP, IPv4, IPv6, IPSec, QoS, Vlan, Ethernet Switching, IP Routing
Proficient in at least one of the scripting languages- Python, TCL / Expect
Good knowledge of C programming
Working knowledge of the linux operating-system
Experience with traffic generators such as Ixia & Scappy
Experience in analyzing packet captures with tools such as Wireshark
Nice to have :
Background in testing of TCP / IP protocol stack
Background in C API unit testing
Exposure to socket programming
Exposure to testing in multi-core environment
Familiarity with source code control system such as GIT
