We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Corporate Banking team in Mumbai.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Acquire as well as manage a portfolio of Commercial Banking customers specifically engaged into New Age / Start-up / Tech Business.
  • Primary responsibilities would be 2 fold : New Business development, creating robust sourcing channels, liaise with internal and external stakeholders towards on-boarding servicing the clients and adherence to internal guidelines for any new on-boarding.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, enhancing HSBC’s wallet share by deepening relationship, cross-sell of suitable products and perform periodic due diligence on all relationships managed.

  • Develop the bank’s understanding and expertise in the Start-up segment and work on building robust business, product and risk (both credit risk and financial crime risk) management capabilities.
  • Build strong engagement with external ecosystem of investors, influencers and thought leaders in the new Age economy ecosystem.
  • Provide direction / be involved in new acquisition and channel development, and promote CMB’s two-pronged strategy Best Bank for Business and Digital International Bank of Choice.
  • Work with Product and Risk partners to develop broad understanding, product capabilities and partnerships in the ecosystem.
  • Be an active member of the team and contribute towards building an innovative culture and come out with ideas to enhance overall performance
  • Ensure that he / she keeps themselves abreast with the latest in the market, competition benchmarks and latest in banking technology including digital developments.
  • Have a strong sense of how businesses work specially in the Start-up / New Age business space and acumen for understanding business dynamics and requirement mapping.
  • Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates will have strong B2B experience in the Banking space along with expertise in handling Start-ups and new age businesses.
  • Good knowledge on some of the products that include Trade, Cash management, Digital products and Treasury.
  • Experience in Credit risk and management of Asset relationship would be an added advantage.
  • Strong experience in creating new business opportunities and acquiring clients for the organisation.
  • Min work experience of 7-8 years post MBA.

  • Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
