The Area Proposal Manager is responsible for the planning, organizing, strategy, and execution of proactive and reactive proposal development within their assigned region.
This role will support our sales and presales organization and will work directly with Sales, the Demand Tower and cross-
functional team members our response center support team to lead winning proposal engagements. How youll make an impact : Own and manage Optivs proposal process, from initial awareness through the delivery of a completed response and follow-
up presentations Perform detailed analysis and deconstruction of RFx documents, develop detailed compliance and responsibility matrices Work with offshore response center team Collaborate with members of pursuit team to develop strategy / win themes Ability to assemble, lead, and motivate a pursuit team consisting of a wide range of stakeholders in support of strategy sessions, proposal kickoffs, proposal product reviews, and transition meetings Serve as the regional point of contact for procurement queries with stakeholders Attends required training to continuously build technical and industry knowledge Challenge team to elevate and innovate in Optivs response approach Takes ownership of miscellaneous action items, tasking and assignments Helps facilitate and respond to new action item Qualifications 6 years experience developing value-
based RFx responses Bachelors degree in a business discipline; APMP, PMP, Shipley certifications desirable Significant experience with private sector proposals, service experience desirable E-
Sourcing platform experience, including Ariba, Emptoris, Coupa, Jaegger, etc. High level of fluency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and medium skill level in other MS Office suite applications Ability to edit for grammar, spelling and punctuation following the AP stylebook An ability to work within a team and collaborate with internal and external resources Effective written and oral communication skills Ability to interface with executive leadership and sales teams Ability to work with international support teams Ability to present information in a persuasive and influential way Ability to manage time and meet deadlines Ability to work remotely and independently Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
