About the Role Salesforce is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to support the Business Technology’s Strategic Portfolio team, which provides value oriented planning processes, high quality portfolio level data, and amazing customer service to support fast and agile delivery.

This seasoned IT professional will have operations experience in planning, operational readiness, change management, data analysis, organizational development and process standardization to develop and help scale our strategic portfolio.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional groups to manage the operations and reporting of our IT strategic portfolio.

Your Impact Support implementation of strategic portfolio efforts related to portfolio governance, planning, capacity, operations, enablement, and metrics.

Support material development for updates to BT executives on strategic portfolio direction, portfolio updates, and planning activities.

Support development of strategic partnerships with cross-functional teams across BT and the enterprise to align on scope of work, areas for collaboration, and integrated views into BT-wide planning.

Manage select portfolio management activities, defining structure, roles, and responsibilities critical to the successful execution and delivery of business objectives and value.

Manage process improvement efforts by analyzing current state, collecting ideas, designing future state, and driving an action plan.

Lead change management and enablement activities to drive behavior change related to portfolio activities. Lead efforts to visualize data to articulate business value and impact.

Interface with cross-functional teams to help articulate clear business value, outcomes, and objectives across multiple product domains.

Function independently and as part of a team under aggressive deadlines in a (really) fast-paced environment, convey a strong professional image, exhibit interest and positive attitude toward all assigned work, and strive for continued improvement.

  • Minimum Qualifications 10-12 years of portfolio management, project management, consulting, or related experience Experience leading enterprise-level cross-functional transformational programs Well versed in portfolio metrics and data visualization;
  • experience in Tableau preferred Experience in change management, training, and / or communications Knowledge of agile transformation methodologies Extensive experience in creating presentations and visualizing complex concepts Experience in shaping and delivering a strategy and action plan Ability to write clear and concise documentation, excellent written and spoken communication skills;
  • ability to communicate a clear, vivid, inspiring, and relevant description or picture of project benefits / value to the customer Ability to drive work independently, identify solutions, move them to implementation, and develop long-range strategies Works to improve and reinforce performance in others;
  • facilitates their skill development by providing clear, specific performance feedback and making or eliciting suggestions for solutions / performance improvement Develops, maintains, and strengthens partnerships with others inside and outside the project team who provide decision making, information, or support Achieves positive outcomes by identifying common interests, clarifying differences, and achieving consensus or compromise Strong business acumen and familiarity with broad range of business processes beyond those impacted project Strong facilitation and collaboration skills Skilled in Microsoft Office suite, Google suite and Salesforce products Preferred Qualification Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Prior Product Management experience a plus Demonstrates mastery in all aspects of Project Management plan-driven methodology, including Scope Management Schedule Management Financial Management Issue & Risk Management Vendor, Contract, & Resources Management Execution Governance / Steering Committees, Monitoring, and Control Accommodations If you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this Accommodations Request Form.
