The Senior Applications Tech Lead provides leadership and coordination of all technical aspects of Data Services development activities required to enable Business Intelligence solutions for L Brands.
Responsibilities will include leading a team of senior and mid-level technical associates, providing technical guidance, coaching and mentoring.
Responsibilities will also include providing technical solutions to complex business requirements through innovative data architecture design and data engineering and BI solutions.
This role requires hands-on experience in Bigdata-Hadoop, Cloud based event driven architecture, Enterprise Data warehouse, Business Intelligence and ETL technologies, techniques.
This role will interface and work in collaboration with a highly talented, energetic and diverse Data Services team and other cross functional (Point of Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Enterprise Planning, HRMS and several other systems) teams to devise end-to-end solutions.
Design, develop and maintain Bigdata-Hadoop, Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence systems. Must be able to write quality code and build secure, highly available systems.
Provide technical leadership and contribute to the definition, development, integration, test, documentation, and support across multiple platforms.
Oversee activities for all assigned projects from planning to delivery as well as support to ensure that projects meet all the requirements.
Review business and technical requirements and ensure the data services platform meets requirements.
Independent problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions to complex analytical / data-driven problems, by applying industry best practices for design and development.
Ability to profile data, assess data quality in the context of business rules, and incorporate validation and certification mechanism to ensure data quality
Recommend continuous improvement of the architecture and processes.
Knowledgeable in concepts around distributed system and system integration.
This role also requires hands-on experience in developing applications involving distributed systems, technologies and different programming languages.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Mathematics / Sciences
Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems
Required Skills / Qualifications
12+ years of experience in Data engineering and BI solutions delivery.
Proven track record as a Data architect with specific data focus on Data Warehousing on premise and on Cloud
Extensive experience architecting & designing solutions on Big Data including data ingestion, data lake, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, predictive analytics, advanced visualization & dashboards.
Experience in integrating data from multiple sources, data flow design, building ETL pipelines for data warehouse or big data
Deep understanding of Visualization & SQL Database technologies (Teradata, MS SQL, Oracle) and cloud-based analytics products (Snowflake, Synapse, BigQuery, RedShift) and NoSQL databases along with latest open source technologies.
Knowledge in one or more ETL tools (Talend, DataStage) and one or more BI Tools, MicroStrategy, Power BI)
Expertise to run Data Governance, Data Quality management, Data Modelling & establishing Data Lineage between disparate enterprise data stores
Solid understanding of metadata management best practices with experience implementing or operating a metadata repository
Should have worked on-cloud, on-premise & hybrid solutions in Bigdata / SQL / Spark
Good knowledge on coding standards, design patterns, unit testing frameworks, CICD practices with tools / technologies like Stash / Bitbucket / Git-hub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, etc.
Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic.
Practical experience using Scrum, Agile modelling and adaptive software development.
