UOP India Pvt. Ltd. (UOPIPL) Equipment Group has thecapability to design environment friendly plants and systems while continuallyimproving designs and engineering processes.

As we continue to grow and expand,we will commence supporting the design and execution of Callidus product line.Wehave a current opening for a ProjectEngineer Callidus Burners.

It is the responsibility of a project engineerto execute projects by planning, organizing and controlling all elements of theproject from sales turnover to plant start up.

The project engineer has toeffectively work in collaboration with all functional groups within CallidusTechnologies, vendors and customer representatives to ensure that all projectrequirements are met as laid out in the contract.

The project engineer isresponsible for managing the customer relationship as well as coaching andguiding the project execution team.

Flexibility in 20% domestic and internationaltravel when requiredDIRECTLY ACCOUNTABLE for : Prepare and issue project job instructions to the project team and the shop to ensure the incorporation of customer specificationReview customer specifications forburners to determine the design requirements, especially the heat release,furnace operating temperature, emission control and fuel specifications.

Prepare basic engineering calculations of burner dimensions and air flow and pressure levels, for use by design / drafting for creation of detail drawings and coordinate the timely issuance of those drawings.

Oversee and guide the installation of burners in the test furnace and supervise the conduct for demonstration tests for the customer at the test facility and participate in providing explanation of burner unit to the customer.

Coordinate communication with customer throughout the project life-cycle and participate in customer sponsored meetings.Assist in burner start-

up where necessary and assist in coordinating solutions to operational problems after start-up.Meet project schedule, budget and quality requirements as defined in performance metrics, provide monthly progress reports and financial updates on assigned projects, and manage project activities and cost within SAP


  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering or an equivalent6-10 years of experience in the specific refining and petrochemical industryMinimum 3+ years’ experience in a project or designengineering role focused on mechanical equipment or equipment systems

  • Experience in petroleum refining, petrochemical and / or gas processing industries preferred Proficiency with MS Office applications is required.
  • Familiarity and experience with site construction management.Experience with combustion equipment is a plusStrong oral and written communications skillsAbility to work effectively within a team based environment.

    Project Engineering experience with an EPC contractorStrong multi-tasking skills, analytical skills, project delivery & financial skills
