Staff QA Engineer - Ruckus IoT

Description

We are ARRIS, a global innovator in IP, video and broadband technology. Our team collaborates with leading Service and Content Providers to create entertainment and communication solutions that are personalized and mobile.

As a staff QA engineer in the Enterprise Networks business unit you will be working with a set of highly motivated engineers who are helping define, test and qualify next gen IoT (Enterprise level) which will transform into smart cities, universities etc.

You will be working on some of the cutting edge technologies of IoT protocols such as BLE, Zigbee, LoRA etc., to create a IoT Platform at Enterprise level

As a QA engineer in this team you would be required to

Testing and qualifying builds for Quality Releases

Designing, writing and reviewing Test Plan and Test cases for new features and functionality

Designing and architecting different testbeds for quality release

working across teams to understand requirements and coming up with inovative solutions for qualifying the stability

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or similar engineering stream

8+ years of hands on work experience in WiFi testing and qualifying

Designing, writing and reviewing Test Plan and Test cases for new features and functionality

Preferred Qualifications

Good Understanding of OSI model

Experienced in WiFi functional testing including Performance, Range, Coex (Interference) Testing

Experience in basic networking and good experience in VLAN and switching

Experienced in end-to-end testing from scope definition, test plan creation, execution, results

Experience in handling ESX / Workstation / VirtualBox

Experience in bug tracking tools like Jira / Bugzilla and test repository like Testlink

Analyzing and debugging using packet capture tools like omnipeek, wireshark etc.

Basic scripting knowledge (Python Preferable)

Familiarity with WiFi and low power wireless protocols such as BLE, Zigbee, Z-Wave or LoRa is an added advantage

Good written and verbal communication skills
