Job Description

  • Analysis of the Software requirements for the Engine Management – Electronic Control Unit.
  • Function development (as per provided requirement) and Embedded C coding of modules for Engine Management Systems.
  • Test Specification preparation and Testing.
  • Integration of software packages.

  • Qualifications

    B.E. / B.Tech (preferably ECE, E&E, E&I, Mechatronics)

    2-5 years of experience as Software Developer / Engineer in Automotive / Embedded domain.

    Skills requirement:

  • Proficient in Embedded Systems, Hands on experience in Embedded Software Development & C programming (Willingness to work in Automotive Domain)
  • Proficient in Microcontrollers, its peripherals and basic Electronics.

  • Strong development experience in Embedded C and RTOS.

  • Experience in HW related SW development, Model based development.

  • Basic understanding of embedded HW circuit (ECU).

  • Good debugging skills and knowledge of debugging and validations tools like INCA, Lab Car, Debugger, CAN Analyzer,..
  • Familiar with SW development processes, good understanding of s/w development tools used in different phases of development.

  • Involved with all phases of the software development life cycle – requirements analysis, development, implementation, and testing.

  • Knowledge on requirements and change management tools like DOORS / RQONE / RCMS / ClearQuest.

  • Familiar with Configuration Management tools and Version Control Systems – e.g. ClearCase / RTC / GIT / SVN / ALM.
  • Should be proactive and should be able to work independently.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and Team player.

  • Ability to work as part of a dedicated project team and independently.

  • Excellent Communication (oral & written) and Interpersonal skills.
  • Should have good experience with customer interaction / handling.
  • Nice to have:

  • Passion for Automotive Systems Engineering, and knowhow on Diesel or Gasoline engine systems (PowerTrain domain).

  • Experience with Validations on Lab Car / Vehicle.
  • Overview on Communication Protocols used in Automotive domain like CAN, Flexray, SPI, UART, I2C and CAN related tools, UDS / KWP, SPI communication protocols.

  • Awareness of CMMI / ASPICE methodologies and AUTOSAR software standards.
  • Knowledge of SW development tools like ASCET, modelling and simulation tools like Matlab / Simulink.
  • Knowledge on scripting languages like Shell / Perl / Python / CAPL / Make etc.
  • Language competency – German.
